About astro22
astro22 is an astronomy reference site. We answer the questions people actually ask about the night sky — the color of the Moon, the distance to the nearest star, how to find Orion — in plain language, with the numbers checked.
How we work
Every article is reviewed by the astro22 Editorial Team. We check facts and figures against primary sources: NASA and ESA mission data, the IAU, and peer-reviewed astronomy journals. Where estimates differ between sources, we say so rather than picking one.
What this site is not
We cover observational and physical astronomy. We do not publish horoscopes or astrology — astronomy is the science of what is actually out there.
Corrections
Astronomy data improves as missions return new measurements. If you spot a figure that is out of date or wrong, let us know and we will fix it and note the update date.
